A Date With Silver Featuring Jay6ix

Welcome once again to this amazing show, where you get to know more about artist around you.
Get to know the story behind the glory or fame. Today we have Jay6ix In the building. Enjoy and go with the flow!

Can You Tell Us More About Yourself?
My name is Ajehson Oche Joseph, my Mum and dad are late, am Idoma by tribe, from Agatu local government.

Why did you choose gospel music?
Well I didn't say I do gospel music. I just like selling God to the world.

How was your career at the beginning?

Am not where I wanna be yet, but thank God for everything, my friends and family. Am still on the process. I wasn't really into music at the start, I had a website, then I went to the studio, recorded a song and found out it was okay, then I decided to continue.

What inspires you to write your songs?
Anything can inspire me, most times I just sit and it flows naturally.

Tell us the story behind your hit song, 'God Is My Everything'?

Like I said, my mum and dad are late, so this song just came like my story, it was God all the way. He is my Dad, my mum, my everything.

Does it pay to be an artist, especially gospel artist?
Well, yeah it does, big time. Take the likes of Frank Edward. Even if they don't pay you, they appreciate you, which is still payment.

What is the first song you wrote?
Officially, 'God is my everything'.

Why did you choose singing?
I didn't really choose it, it chose me.

(from the audience)
If  you had the chance to be signed in YBNL or any other hit label, would you go for it?
The only record label I want to work with here in Nigeria, is Mavins Record.

Why do your friends do circular music but you went with gospel instead?
The world is filled with choices so I went with mine and they went with theirs.

What do you have to say to the upcoming artists?

Everything in life is step by step, so all you need or have to do is to believe in your grind. Surely they will criticize you, but you don't have to give up man. Just strive hard and let your Pride down.
