Xenophobia: Pastor stabbed And Nigerian arrested for defending self – envoy



A Nigerian Consulate in South African, Amb. Uche Ajulu-Okeke visited the Nigerian victims of the xenophobia attack. Uche said it is an unfortunate incident as Nigerians where hurt, a pastor was stabbed and another, arrested for trying to defend himself.
Following her inspection, she discovered that Nigerians has lost alot from this tragedy.
She said“ We visited seven locations in Pretoria West. At the first location, a garage, 29 cars, 80 Nigerian passports, welding and painting appliances and a restaurant were burnt while cash totalling R140, 000(N3.360m) were removed,”
Uche also share a case about a family that was attacked and in the intention of putting there children in safety, threw them over the fence and in the process one hit the skull on a stone and is now hospitalised.
“Also, the man disarmed an attacker with a machete but was arrested by the South African police for trying to defend himself,” she stated.

She also Said that;

“ I have made a contingency arrangement for Nigerian women and children to be evacuated to the High Commission in Pretoria and the Consulate in Johannesburg.”

Three Nigerians have been released due to her invention.
