Armed robbers kill mother, baby in Sokoto

A 17-month old baby and her mother have been killed by armed robbers in Sokoto.

The incident reportedly happened on Wednesday at Gundumi forest, along Sokoto - Isa road.


Police Commissioner , Sokoto state,Mohammed Abdulkadir confirmed the incident.He disclosed that the police have intensified efforts to trail the armed robbers with a view to bring them to book.

The police boss also said more patrol teams had been deployed along the road to enhance security in the area.
